Goldie came into our family just when we needed her. We had lost Riley our senior Golden from a fasting growing cancer and left his sister Penny mourning for her best friend. Goldie came to us to foster and she was just what Penny needed. They became fast friends. Initially, it was Penny that showed Goldie the ropes and let her know that there was no reason to be scared here. She would be loved and taken care of forever. Goldie followed Penny everywhere & they always slept by each other and became best friends.
It was wonderful to have a young Golden in the house again. She was scared and nervous in the beginning but once she realized how much we loved her and that she could trust us she became very happy. Oh I forgot to tell you we adopted her! Goldie helped Penny through the last months of her life and helped our family through the loss of our two senior Goldens. Goldie is just the sweetest, most affectionate loving Golden. She follows me everywhere and I love it!! We have not had only one dog in our family in many years. She goes everywhere with me. She loves the car. Her cousin, who is a Goldendoodle, is her best friend and taught her about how fun tennis balls are and that toys aren’t so bad either. She loves her daily walks. She has been to the lake twice and 4th of July she finally swam. Not real far in the water but it is a start. We were all so proud!!
Goldie came into our lives needing to be rescued and what she did was rescue us!! We love her beautiful Golden smile and we love her so much!!
Our family wants to thank GRROWLS for this wonderful addition to our family!!!
