ASTRO
I adopted Astro (formerly, Little Man) in 2004 from the kind foster care of Renee Wright. Since then, Astro has been a part of all of our life experiences, including the birth of our daughter in 2009. As soon as we brought Emily home from the hospital, Astro was so gentle and patient with her, allowing his ears to be tugged by a toddler, and always yielding the right of way to her.
Astro (or Stro for short) lived and loved to eat. Even upon his last day on Earth, his hearty appetite never dwindled. He also enjoyed neighborhood walks, boat rides on the lake and hanging out in the yard on sunny days. At the age of about 13, he started to let us know that he was slowing down a little in life’s activities…we think his legs probably began to ache with arthritis.
We lost Stro on April 18, 2011. We miss him so much, but he will always be a part of our family. Rest in peace, Astro. You were a great dog.
