| Our big, beautiful Bud went to the Rainbow Bridge on Wed. July 12th. He was 14 years and 8 months of age. His back legs were failing and he had trouble getting up and supporting himself. We would like to thank the GRROWLS organization and volunteer Sue Glinski for rescuing Bud and his sister Mandy from the animal shelter where they were scheduled for euthanasia. We were happy for the chance to give them the life they deserved, far from the days of being kept outside in a kennel, matted and neglected for 8 years. They enjoyed sleeping on beds and couches, camping, canoeing, hiking, and endless supplies of dog biscuits and ear rubs. We were blessed to have Bud for 6 1/2 years and hope he will serve as proof that "senior " dogs have many quality years still left and have lots and lots of love to give. We miss him dearly ... thank you to all the volunteers who help dogs like Bud to get a second chance and for families like us to be touched by such a loving soul. With heavy hearts, Don, Ruth and Mandy Keipper |
