Austin, a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix, was adopted by Carol and Dale Douglass in May, 2003. He had been scheduled to be euthanized by the shelter he was in, but a phone call to GRROWLS saved his life. He was rescued and given to a foster home.
Meanwhile, Dale and Carol had just lost their 15.5 year old Alfie, and were thinking of getting a new dog. Fate stepped in and they were told about Austin. It was love a first sight, and Austin now has a loving home with Dale, Carol and Jill, a fox hound/terrier mix. |
